Spreading Festive Cheer at Grow Limited
With the Christmas season fast approaching, our Guernsey team embraced the festive spirit by spending two incredible days earlier this week volunteering at Grow Ltd. It was an opportunity not only to get creative but also to support a local charity that does amazing work in our community.
Over the course of the two days, our team rolled up their sleeves and transformed into Christmas ‘elves’- crafting beautiful wreaths, wooden reindeers, packing Grow Ltd's special 2025 Christmas cards ready to sell and preparing the ground for a new site for planting raised vegetable beds. The team also helped decorate their new shop with garlands ready for Saturday. The handmade decorations will be sold in their new shop at their Christmas Fayre on Saturday, with all proceeds going towards their vital work supporting adults with learning disabilities.
Grow Ltd is no stranger to us at Intact Insurance Channel Islands Limited. Last year, Grow Ltd proudly won our Conservation Awards and the Pride of Guernsey Diversity & Inclusion Award 2024, which we sponsor. Seeing their dedication to sustainability and inclusion first-hand made this experience even more meaningful.
What stood out most was the atmosphere which was full of laughter, teamwork, and creativity. Our volunteers shared ideas, learned new skills, and enjoyed the chance to give back to the community in a tangible way. As Lucy Harvey, Workshop Manager at Grow Ltd, said:
“The team at Intact brought a brilliant festive energy to Grow this week, helping our crew and staff to make some beautiful Christmas stock and decorate our new shop for our upcoming Fayre, and the crew's days were enriched with new conversations and experiences.”
We’re proud to have played a small part in supporting Grow Ltd’s mission and look forward to future opportunities to collaborate.
